Bee Houses

Bee houses provide nesting sites for beneficial, non-stinging Mason Bees, as well as other solitary pollinating bees. These peaceful insects are natures best pollinators. Given that they are smaller than honey bees, they can go deeper into the flower blossoms, thus transporting more pollen. They also visit up to 20 times more flower blossoms each day than honey bees.

Mason bees are solitary, and seek out small holes in wood to lay their eggs. They will readily accept a specially designed bee house as a place to rear their young. The babies hatch in early spring and immediately go to work pollinating fruit bearing plants and trees. You can put Mason Bees to work in your garden by providing them with homes to raise their young.
