There are many things you can do to create a wildlife sanctuary in your own backyard. In addition to proving food, water, and shelter for birds, you can provide these things for the other critters in your backyard as well.

Bat houses provide shelter for a variety bat species. There are many misconceptions about these secretive night-flying creatures, but make no mistake about it, they are beneficial and voracious insectivours, and therefore contribute greatly to our pest control efforts.

Squirrel feeders will draw these furry critters to an area of your yard or garden where you can watch and enjoy their antics. In addition, supplying them with their own feeding stations helps to keep them away from your bird feeders.

Butterfly houses are decorative garden ornaments that can provide shelter to butterflies from wind and rain.

And let us not forget the humble toad, consumer of vast quantities of insect pests. Providing a toad houses may offer incentive for our amphibian friends to take up residence in our gardens and do what they do best.
